Ups & Downs - Tracking Down the Weight Gain Culprit

I'm new to MFP and curious about how my weight is changing as my habits change. I have noticed that my weight goes up and down at certain times of the week. I realise of course that it can vary widely from day to day anyway, but why do I GAIN on certain days and LOSE on others. I've been looking into it and have blogged my thoughts. I would be curious to know if anyone agrees, or has other views?

Salt concentrations, waste retention, glycogen stores, intensity of exercises, etc... too many variables. Try switching to 7 day moving average or 7 week moving average to get a better picture. Also include other matrices such as waist & neck measurements or calipers (if you are trying to gauge fat loss).0
