Thinking of hiring a personal trainer...

I'm wondering what the average cost of hiring a personal trainer is... I met a trainer that said he would get back to me with a price but I have no idea what to expect. Any help would be appreciated!

I can't remember the price of mine...I could only afford 30 min. sessions and they were 50 bucks. But that was part of a package I bought at a gym.0

Typically $50-$100/hr, depending on their skill level and the area they work in. Often, they throw-in a free introductory session so they can learn your goals and you their personality/methods.. and if you book 5-10 sessions at a time.. expect a slight discount, homework, and hand-outs.
Expect to be pushed outside your comfort zone. Talk to your trainer about your concerns. Expect more rapid results and less risk of injuries or quitting than going it alone.0 -
Having a trainer design a program and walk you through the movements can be invaluable when you're starting off. A lot of exercises are harder than they look to do properly, and having someone teaching you and correcting you in the beginning is a huge help.0
