Low impact excersises

Last summer I started my weight loss journey and lost 20 pounds before I had a serious accident. Long story short, I ended up tearing several ligaments in my ankle and am still not fully recovered. I gained some of the weight back that I initially lost due to being extremely limited on what I physically can do since my ankle injury. Within the last month I've managed to get back on track and lose 10 of the pounds I gained back again.
Does anyone have some suggestions on low impact exercises so that I can get back to the gym again?
Thanks!

You should ask your doctor to send you to a physical therapist. Failing that, Google "physical therapy" and whatever injury you had for appropriate exercises. The exercises for someone with a particular injury are often quite different than those that others do.

Agree on going to a physical therapist. They'll help you recover right.

You can try using something like an Upper Body Ergometer at the gym.
You end up working out your upper body and arms but it's part of my Cardio workout so it is good at burning calories.

swimming or fitness class in the water
    Biking is also low impact.
  • I have been going to physical therapy since shortly after the accident. Was just looking for suggestions from others aside from just what the therapist says. She's mainly just suggested riding a stationary bike.

Swim. I hurt my foot a month and a half ago or so. So I can't go running like I was. I don't have a gym membership so I've mostly done nothing,
