How can I get a waist?

No matter how much or hard I work-out, I can't seem to get a defined waist.

I have a broad rib cage, so really, I look like I'm the same width all the way down from my ribs to my hips.

My measurements are:
Chest/Ribs - 33
Waist - 29
Hips - 34

I've got abs and you can see them, I just can't seem to get my waist to go in.

Any ideas for exercies I can do?

Typically I have one long run day (5-7 miles) a week, one short run day (3-4 miles) a week, then 4 days of running 1 miles followed by pretty heavy lifting.

Do I need to increase my cardio to slim down my middle more? Do I have to do more core/ab work to see it go in?

Any ideas?!

Sorry. If you have abs, that means you don't have fat around your waist, and that's just the size of your waist and the shape of your body. Nothing you can do. I'm in the same boat. You just gotta work with what you have and accept what you can't change. You can wear clothes that make your bust and hips look wider (with ruffles or a full skirt for example). Also, it's fun to wear a corset in the bedroom from time to time and pretend that you have a tiny waist.

If you already got abs, then you need to make your hip wider by concentrating on muscles in that area, meaning glutes.

People always say this, but it's false. I can speak as a woman, and a muscular woman, no amount of glute exercise makes your hips wider. Your thighs can get slightly bigger, your butt can get slightly bigger from behind, but your hips do not get wider. Wide hips are the result of having wide set hip bones, storing fat there, or both. Narrow hips are narrow no matter what you do.

It's not much, but it's pretty much the only thing you can do short of cosmetic surgery.
