Hi all. I'm Helen and I just joined today. I have a query regarding a food quantity and wondered if anyone could help? I started my diary today and for dinner I had a portion of chicken with an Uncle Ben's Cantonese Sauce. This meal was shared between 4 of us. However on the diary it only gives me the option of putting a 500g jar down, or 1g. The 500g jar obviously takes me over my intake limit, but I can't seem to change it to reflect the fact that I only had a portion of that jar. Can anyone help?

Many thanks all.

Helen

you can adjust to 1/4 or 1/2 or 1/3 or 1/5 of the serving or whatever fraction of a serving you consumed....

For number of servings put .25. That reflects 25% or 1/4.
  • Hi, Helen. I am new too and had a similar problem. I changed the amount of servings from 1.0 as it is automatically to 0.25 which represents the quarter or the serving. That seemed to work.
  • If you made the whole jar for the 4 of you in the quantity you would just put 0.25
  • Many thanks for your replies. I may be being a bit thick here but the only options it gives me when I try to edit the entry is 500g, 1g, or 1 container. It offers no other options. Help!

I think you are attempting to change the incorrect option. When you see "1.0 serving of 500g". You want to change the 1.0 to .25 and just let the 500g stay the same.

BTW my daughter's name is Helen too :)
  • Many thanks. I've managed to get around it now so hopefully it'll be okay for the future.

Helen's a nice name and you don't hear of many girls being named Helen nowadays. I have a 14 year old daughter called Gabrielle, fondly known as gobby Gabby to her friends!

    Best wishes
