Sorting "my meals" in alpha order. Help!

I love myfitnesspal app!!! Very informative. I am trying to get acquainted so I can enter "my meals" quickly. I order to log info I have to select from listing. Listing is not in Alpha order. There is option to sort; however, when I click option, sorting does not occur. IF I select search then it takes me to database or I have to scroll and select from "my meals" listing. When listing grows process is not practical. Any tips??? Thanks! MichCalory
