I started my journey in 2013. I enjoyed running before I had gained all of my weight but once the weight came on the love of running ended! Before the weight gain I completed 3 1/2 marathons pretty easily not fast just easy. I did complete 1 1/2 marathon at my heaviest but it was really hellish and I will say that I was very close to getting sweeped at one of the Disney races.

I decided to get my weight under control and started working with a personal trainer. Long story short...I started to lose weight and we started to set goals. One of the goals was to finish a 1/2 marathon in under 2 1/2 hours. Well I blew that one out of the water in June. I have since completed more 1/2 marathons for a total of 8. My ultimate goal was to finish a marathon. I didn't have a goal time just to finish.

So on Sunday I did it! I ran all 26.2 freaking miles! No cramping to speak of and smiles the entire way. My time was icing on the cake...4:45 for my first. Oh yeah I will be doing that again! 9c0szw7ctk88.jpg
