Do you eat back the calories you burn from working out?

You know... The free/bonus calories?

When I followed MFP's calories, yes, but not all

I have found that if I show the checker at the grocery store my awesome calorie burn from my workout they do indeed give you the calories for free !!! Can't go wrong with free food.

Oh yes, but first I try to calculate my exercise calories as accurately as possible. And then, since I can't calculate them completely accurately, I only eat 1/2-2/3 of them back.

When I first started, yes. Now I'm a hot mess and do 10 minutes of cardio to pad my deficit, so no. But like others have said, eat some of them back.

Some of them. I'm still quite big and unfit and when I do a good hour of something like Taekwondo, I burn a decent amount of calories and get HUNGRY. So I'll eat back maybe half of them? I don't eat the ones I earn just going for my lunchtime walk or walking an extra station home generally.

I definitely try to eat most of them back, otherwise I end up in super scary deficit land!

You should eat back some to all of the earned calories to maintain the proper deficit. I usually eat back 50-100% depending on my goals.

I won't eat back more than 50% because MFP overestimates calorie burn.

You can modify MFP's calculation to something more realistic based on your experience.
