Personal Trainer?

I really want to increase my strength training routine, but I am intimidated by the machines and even free weights at the gym. I've tried watching videos, but it doesn't come intuitively to me. I have a gym membership and made an appointment to speak to a personal trainer and potentially set up some sessions. I don't plan on having a trainer in the longer term, but rather use this as a means to get more comfortable with a routine. What I need to know is what questions I should ask the trainer before committing to the training membership. I'd also love to hear anyone's experiences with a personal trainer.

Personal trainers are a great way to get back on track. Book 4-5 session to start with and see how it goes, you can assess how you feel afterwards. The trainer will advise you on what foods to avoid for weight loss, give it a try you have nothing to lose.
