Loss my period from an eating disorder....

Hello, so I lost my period from a 2 year battle with anorexia and bulimia. I have just started following a vegan diet to prevent myself from collapsing back to my old habits, but I am consuming enough calories daily. I eat iron supplements, hoping to get my period back, but nothing seems to be working at the moment... WHAT IS WRONG?

Your own body needs to adjust themself and sadly, you don't own a magic wand. Eat enough calories and healthy, be comfortable with yourself, stay calm and go to a gyne (don't forget to tell him/her about your ED). He/She is the only one who can give you better advices than me or us. But trust me: sometimes, takes a little time and being nervous doesn't help0

I'm guessing you probably need to gain some weight back.0

Are you at a healthy weight now? If not, are you eating enough calories to gain weight, accounting for exercise?0

You need more protein, that is easy to get. Here is how
Hemp. No, you don’t have to get high to get your protein. But toss 30 grams of hemp powder in your smoothie and get about 11 grams of protein – just like that.
Nut Butter. Eat up your peanut butter, almond butter and cashew butter. A couple of tablespoons of any one of these will get you 8 grams of protein
Lentils. With lentils, you can make rice dishes, veggie burgers, casseroles and more. One cup cooked delivers a whopping 18 grams of protein!
Sprouted-grain bread. Pack a sandwich with vegan sprouted-grain bread and you’ll get about 10 grams of protein in the bread alone.
Tofu. Four ounces of tofu will get you about 9 grams of protein. And at about 2 bucks a pop, it’s a cheap vegan’s BFF.
You need more fat, try tahini. More nuts.
Give your body time to recover...it took over a year for my period to come back.0 -
You need a doctor, not the internet.0

Indeed. ED's are serious business. OP, have you sought help? Your photograph scares me a bit, although I'm hoping you are not a very skinny child.
