Hi there!
I'm looking into getting an HRM and although there are a lot of different brands in the market, I'm disappointed to know that there are only two brands available in my country.
Both brands doesn't come cheap so I would like to seek everyone's advice.
Let your voices be heard. Are you Team Polar or Team Timex?

I have a Polar FT4 - easy to set up and providing I rinse the chest-strap after every use and stick it in the washing machine after every fifth use, it works like a dream.
I specifically bought that model, because it is okay to change the battery oneself instead of having to send the item back to the manufacturers for battery fitting. Ironically, I just replaced the battery in the watch and on the strap computer as it was low - all is now fine and working again. The old batteries lasted for sixteen months before they needed replacing.0 -
I've had both, but like my current Timex the best so far. If you get one with lots of functions, the hardest part is remembering how to use each option.0

I have an FT4 too and it's great! It only holds your past ten workouts but if you consistently log them somewhere then that is okay. That to me was the main difference between the FT4 and FT7 was the amount of workouts it held.0
