My goal, which I've never shared with anyone.

So I've always had a goal to become a bikini model.

I look at myself now and think, yeah right.

But, it's always been in the back of my mind.

I would like to have nicely defined abs. I would like to get rid of my plump rear end and thighs. I've always disliked these things about me. I would love to have nice muscle definition and lift heavy weights!

So what's stopping me? Well previously, it's been those close to me telling me they don't like girls that have muscles. They don't like super skinny girls. They like girls with some meat. Abs are gross. Abs are unattractive. I've just done what others wanted of me. Simple cardio, slow bike rides, casual walks. No need for intense runs and weight training! That will just cause weight loss and bulky muscles!

You might ask, what made me change my mind and decide to go for this? Because when the tables are turned, my suggestions/opinions/concerns get thrown out the window. So it's okay for someone to tell me they don't like me a certain way, but when I suggest something suddenly I'm the bad guy.

Well, it's all about me and what I want then.

    ^^this is all you need.

for every person who doesn't like abs (for whatever reason), then is someone who does.

but most people like someone who is genuine and true to him/herself

Don't think about other people, if that is what you want then go for it.

Who has the right to say what is and isn't attractive, I know plenty of people that love a girl with muscles.

Stay true to yourself, who cares what others think - do what makes you happy!

Yes. What others prefer physically is irrelevant. What YOU prefer matters. Yes, please stop listening to these arbitrary opinions of others ASAP. The quality of your life and your happiness will greatly improve. Thanks for sharing.

I see girls with super muscly arms and sometimes i think "holy crap, thats abit much" or "they look like mens arms" (not in a nasty way, just stating a fact) but you know what i would LOVE to have arms like that, just because someone doesnt like a look, or even sometimes i see super muscly women and i think woah, but at the same time i would love that look on me because it just shows health and strength and i would LOVE to be able to go up to my partners brothers/male cousins and flex and be like "yeah, *kitten*, gunna pick on me now" hahaha. It's your body, do whatever you love, do whats healthy, there's no point looking a certain way (whether its super big or super skinny) if it means putting your health at risk.
