starting out slow

So I started my diet Monday and since then I have lost 3 pounds. Now I just have 77 more to go and I am so worried about not being able to stick to my workout schedule.. so far I have just been walking a half mile everyday so I can ease my way up. I have exertion induced asthma so this is going to be a constant challenge.

Do you have a specific reason to think that you may not exercise? Or is it a general fear/nervousness thing?0

If you have to take back the exercise a notch, make a corresponding adjustment to your calorie intake. These things happen, say, an injury temporarily lays up an athlete.0

Some things are just out of our control. I injured my back a few months ago so I had to back off on my exercise. I just adjusted my daily calories back accordingly and I'm still losing.
Hope you don't have problems, but take some stress off by knowing it won't derail your goals.0 -
I feel the same way. I get started abd in going good for a few days turn i kinda fizzle out. I'd love to be you "check in" partner. Add me. I will be starting a new arty home program on Monday. B0

Agreed. And switching over to every other day instead of every day to start is absolutely fine if you need to do that. Inch by inch, row by row0 -
My problem is motivation... In the past I've heard a lot of "no you can't, your too fat" and now if I slack off even a little I talk myself into quitting. It's a lousy excuse I know. My husband is trying to keep me on track but he doesn't need to lose the weight like I have to.. which get a little frustrating because he doesn't understand why it's so hard for me..0
