I just got a Ninja Blender. I am a blender Noobie. I appreciate any and all soup or smoothie/shake recipes. Also opinions of putting raw oats in the smoothies.

  • I've been starting out with smoothies on my Ninja. I like this one so far:

    2 cups raw spinach
2 cups almond or coconut milk
    1 cup frozen mango
    1 banana
    2 tablespoons wheat germ (optional)

First blend the spinach and milk until well blended. Add the mango and blend. And slices of the banana and wheat germ and blend. I list the wheat germ as optional, since it's a little gritty and not everyone likes that.

I consider 1/2 as one serving and save the rest for up to 36 hours.

One of my favorites is the SPINACH, BANANA, PEANUT BUTTER, PROTEIN SHAKE
It's high in nutrients and great for anytime of the day. There's only 230 calories.

2 big handfuls fresh baby spinach
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    Blend together
    Add:
    1/2 banana
    1 TBSP peanut butter
    1 scoop vanilla protein powder
    Ice to preference
    Blend together well
    Serve

Enjoy. I'm hoping that you're able to get lots of yummy recipes so I can use them to.

Cut a butternut squash in half, scoop out the seeds, place face down on baking pan, bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees, remove from the oven and let cool down enough to touch without burning yourself. Remove the skin and cut into cubes.
In a pan on the stove top heat some coconut milk. Add the butternut squash and coconut milk, salt, pepper to the blender. Other spices are optional. Blend and pour into a bowl and drizzle some sriracha over the top and serve.

Thanks! Sorry I'm mobile and couldn't figure out how to get back here. Lol. Probably a silly question, but is coconut milk really coconutty? I'm not a coconut fan.
