South beach

Hello. I have decided I am going to try the south beach diet for a while. I have PCOS & thyroid issues. I have lost a little bit of weight by watching what I eat and exercising, but nothing has been working lately. So I have decided to try this.

I have made a meal plan for the week (so I can't cheat!). But I just had a few questions.

From reading the book it says to buy things that a low fat (cheese, milk etc) which I don't normally do. How much of a different will that make?

I am starting on phase one, and I am reading differing things. I'm told peas are not ok, but snow peas are. Are sugar snap peas ok?

Thank your so much for your help!

    Hi and good luck!
If it were me? I wouldn't sweat the fat content of the milk.
I would bet sugar snap peas are a "no no" in phase 1. Normally I would say: don't worry about peas, but since you have PCOS...you really want to get a handle on things.

Hope it's going well! I'm not on south beach (but try to eat SLOW carb). Feel free to friend me.
