How 2 figure your sugar calories

ive been reading a book called The 100. It says basically that you don't want to exceed 100 sugar calories a day, by controlling your sugar calories you have the ability to loose quite a bit of lbs per week. To find the total of sugar calories you multiply the total carbs by 4- so if your crackers have 21 carbs multiplied by 4 - your looking at 84 sugar calories!
