Strength training for fat loss. Help?

So I've posted a few questions in the past day asking about ways to lose fat and to reduce my body fat percentage, and the general consensus is to incorporate strength training into my regime. So I'm just wondering what kind of exercises should I actually be doing?
I already have some dumbells, but should I invest in a barbell, medicine ball etc?
My aim is to flatten my stomach and get some ab definition by July.

You should be doing a structured full body work out. Here is a good one to start with.

Follow it to the letter, eat at slight deficit/or maintenance, profit.0 -
