So, if a cow was in a wheat field, they would not eat the wheat ...

They'd eat the wheat if they were hungry enough and there wasn't anything else around, just as a starving human in a field of grass would chomp that down. Or, to give you a more realistic example, just as many humans given only coca-cola, a hot dog, and ice cream would happily eat only that all day every day.

After tons of research and now tracking my food and exercise for two weeks, I've decided on the following macronutrient goals: 15%carbs, 25%protein, 60% fat. Do you have similar numbers that you are aiming for? If so, what advice do you have for meeting those goals? Can you post a sample meal plan? If you are sucessful with keeping carbs this low, I'd love to see your food diary! Thanks!

Not gonna' bother reading anything else because I'm sure I know where this is going. I've actually read a couple pieces of research on low-carb diets as well and I believe this was referred to by one as the "New Atkins" or "Modified Atkins", but either way the results were good out of all the low-carb plans / percentages compared.

Things like Coconut Oil will become your friend to help with the extra fat. When I apply a low-carb plan some fat sources I like...

    Bacon
    Coconut Oil and Olive Oil
String Cheese (make sure you don't get low fat - LOL)
Other cheeses, just watch the carb content.
    80/20 beef
    Eggs
    Ranch Dressing
Almonds (gotta watch the carbs though, good snack when you have munchies)

Ah, good comparison. People get fat because they over consume calories, which is much easier with hyperpalatable foods. Not "people get fat due to grains because cows..."
