Ok...what does it mean when you work out six days a week, enter very detailed logs. I measure and weigh everything. I log in under the calorie goal by quite a bit and I gain a pound. Oh yah...measuring tape reads the same so no inches. I think I need to donate myself to science and figure out why this is so hard. I feel like I am doing everything right

Open your diary so that we can see how you are logging. How long have you been counting your calories? Generally, most people will lose a good amount of pounds in the first week or so because of a loss of water weight, especially if they are exercising. It could be that time of the month where you retain water and bloat. It happens to females. Without know more about your plan and what you are doing on a daily basis, not much anyone can do for you. It is impossible to gain fat on a caloric deficit, the body just can't do it. So the answer you will most likely get is:
You aren't being as accurate or truthful with yourself about your eating and caloric intake as you think you are.0 -
Sometimes when you begin a workout routine, you will see either no loss or a small gain. Don't fret about it. Just keep doing what you're doing, and you will see a loss.
Also- if you are WAY under your calorie goal, your body isn't getting the nutrition it needs to fuel the exercise you are doing. Try to be as close to your target calorie intake as possible.0 -
How long have you been doing this? When did you start working out 6 days a week?0

One more thought, are you eating your calories you burn during your workouts back? Say you have 1600 calories for the day and you burn 200, do you now have 1800 calories for the day to eat or do you stick with only eating 1600 for the day? I've heard different opinions on this but not sure which is right myself. Just a thought....0

I come close to the original calorie goal. I don't eat the workout calories. This is week 2 for fitness pal but I have been working out 6days a week for about 2 years. This has been a very long journey for me. I would like to get to the maintenance stage, but I have to fight for every ounce of weight loss. My body just won't lose the weight. Not quitting but this is getting tiresome.0

If I learned anything from MFP .. it is that the scale is not a good way to measure success. Oh .. and weight loss is not at all linear nor predictable. Just keep doing it, give it 3 weeks at least. If you still have issues .. look at your logging, either over estimated calorie burns or under estimated calorie intake is usually to blame.0
