I have a chicken, craizin, apple salad i will eat for dinner. I was so OK with this until my mom calls and says "I'm going to Whataburger, what do you want?" AUGGGH WHYYYYYY!?!?!
Yes! I told her nothing! But I could kill for a Monterrey Melt right about now. HELP!
What happens when she comes through the door and they are all holding those huge delicious melty goodness heavely sandwiches?! Im gonna pass out lol. Tomorrow I will be so proud though but lord the temptation is SCARY!

It's not the last time you're ever going to have a chance to have Whataburger. You're just skipping it this one time -- you could have one tomorrow if you wanted to. You're not missing out on anything, you're just choosing not to have one today. No biggie0

if it fits in your cals/macros, have it.
if not, don't.
dont be scared.
in fact, i think you should build your day tomorrow in such a way that you can have one.
win/win0 -
Log what you would have gotten. Sometimes seeing the damage before the damage is done helps me fight the urge. I also agree with skullshank^
Also the fact that you already said no shows great dedication! Good job! You will feel great tomorrow.
P.S. one thing that helps me is too not see it or smell it. So if you can get away from the temping food while its in the house that will help you. It will be like it was never even there.0 -
Yup I would build that sucker into tomorrow's plan. But chances are by tomorrow you won't want it as much. Though, right now I could go for a Red Robin Whiskey River Burger. *sigh*0

Sorry to offend but Whataburger is not heavenly goodness, it's actually a big ole chunk of yuckers.0

I agree with Britt. Look up the calories. Sometimes that's enough to kill my cravings when I see how "expensive" it is.0

I would use that time to take a nice hike somewhere, somewhere pretty. Take your Chicken Craizin Apple Salad, bring a blanket, and make a picnic out of it at a local park. By the time you go back to the house, it will smell more stale than heavenly. Or go mall walking and look at all those clothes you are going to be able to fit when your body rewards you. This journey IS worth it, no matter what roadblocks your family throws into your way.0

Congrats for not getting one. We don't have those where I live but their website says a Monterey Melt has 1170 calories! 77 g fat & 2150 sodium...

There was a family night out at Islands Restaurant. I saved up my calories for it and only ate 1/2 the burger. I did the same thing the next day and had the other 1/2 burger for dinner. I GAINED TWO POUNDS over the weekend. I love this burger, it's delicious. It made me sad.0

You could easily get one and cut it in half then if craving it. I'd do that.0 -

Never had one, but you could always have gotten one and had half.0

I don't think I'm strong enough to do that yet especially because I was starving when dinner time came around. Lol

Ugh you're so right I really don't even want half that much fat or sodium in one meal.0 -

She didn't gain 2 pounds of fat (to do that, she would have had to have eaten 7,000 calories *over* maintenance). Most of it was likely water weight, from the sodium, and likely came off in a day or two.
You can't undo all your progress with one meal. Or even a weekend.
If you can't make it fit, pass on it for now - just plan a day soon where it might fit.0 -

Sometimes when I am tempted with something that has super high calories, I calculate how many hours I would have to walk to walk it off. It triggers the "not worth it" impulse for me.0
