So I'm trying to workout 5 days a week and 3 of those days I do weight training along with cardio. Now to me working on my abs only once a week will take a long time for me to see results. Is it ok to work them every day? Every other day? How much should I do?
(I do 3x15 sets on maybe 4 ab machines at planet fitness)
If anyone cares to share how the workout throughout their week I'd appreciate it.
What machines do you use for each day?
How many sets do you do?
Also for leg day I wasnt sore like everyone claims to be so I'm sure I didnt do enough that's why I'm asking..
Any advice will help

Well I currently don't go to a gym, but will be shortly. When I start I will be doing Stronglifts 5x5. It's a free weight program that you do 3 x a week. It uses 5 compound exercises and you only do 3 out of the 5 a day (alternating the workouts with squat being done every time). I will then probably only do cardio 2-3 times a week.
Currently I just do workout dvds and typically workout 6 days a week.0 -
I do full body workouts 3 times a week. I also do stronglifts.0

Here's my 2 cents...
I haven't been in the gym for a while and am actually getting back into the swing right now. First if you looking for Strength training you want to do more weight and fewer reps. The opposite is true if you are looking to tone up, not necessarily bulk up (high reps, less weight).
Don't work your Abs every day! To build and strengthen muscle you have to have recovery days. Working out rips the muscle, rest allows them to build, and the process repeats. I work Abs MWF, its the last thing I do before I head home.
For your leg workouts, increase the weight gradually. Everyone under estimates how strong their legs actually are and then make the mistake of adding too much weight too quickly which leads to injury.0 -
I typically work out M-F and take the weekends to rest. Upper body is MWF and lower body is T and TH, and I work complimentary muscles together. The saying goes... "Back and Bis, Chest and Tris". Good luck!!0

I keep forgetting things.... Cardio as I'm sur eyou know is HUGE. I jog/run to get warmed up before each workout and then again at the end to cool down.0
