I've just started running for a week now not really that far but wanting to be capable to run/jog 6kms.

is there anyone who can help me as I'm not sure what to eat during the day and what to have to tea as I run in the morning on an empty stomach and when I get back home I have 3 eggs whites and 1 whole egg and a piece of wholemeal bread.

Then the rest of my day is probably turkey sandwich and pasta stir fry for tea.

Any advice of tips to improve my performance faster?

Thanks.

It does not matter what you eat at this point, you are only starting. If you get to race level, it might be worth worrying about, but right now, do whatever makes you comfortable. Absolutely do NOT try to improve your performence faster. You need to do the exact opposite, take things very slowly, more slowly than you feel comfortable. It is very very common to get hurt when starting to run, and it all start with trying to run too fast, too long, too soon. Give your body time to adjust. Even if you are in great shape and already exercising, your muscles need to adjust slowly to running.

Great advice there already - you might want to look at the pinned post at the top of this section "so you want to start running", for more ideas.

My top 3 would be - don't run every day, drink lots of water, and make sure you get enough sleep.

    Have fun!
