How long has it taken you to rebound weight-wise from a stomach bug?

Okay, last Sunday (5 days ago), I spent the morning throwing up. Twas delightful. Anyway, by Monday I was feeling better and ate normally, same Tuesday through today (so far). Fridays are my weigh-in day and I thought that I'd given it enough time to correct for any illness 'loss'. Well, this morning I stepped on the scale and was down 6 lbs from last Friday. (146 -> 140)

Wait, what?

I'm not recording this because this close to goal (135) it shouldn't be possible, not with my moderate calorie deficit, but as I haven't tried any actual weight loss programs before to compare stomach virus effects to, not sure how long to wait to see the rebound. I'll just record whatever next Friday's weight is instead so it's mostly my own curiosity driving this.

Have a great weekend all!

Sadly I tend to rebound up past my weight before the flu. For me, three weeks till I'm the old me again.

I lost 10 pounds from the flu one time and two weeks later I was at my original weight.

Oh boy. I had a similar thing happen last Thursday and I'm hoping not to see a rebound lol. I lost 4 lbs and put myself within 3 lbs of my goal. I took a good couple days to return to my normal eating habits, though, because I was scared of feeling nauseous and throwing up again. No fun.

I usually gain back the weight I lost in a few days because it's mostly water. If you were retaining extra water before you were sick, it might be a permanent loss.

Hm. Looks like it could be as long as a couple of weeks. Oh darn, I really did want to record it but at least I have the Super Bowl on Sunday to balance things out :D
