So, I have shared my frustrations plenty on here and feedback is very encouraging. I appreciate it. For those who have lost a significant amount of weight and those who are knowledgeable, please, I invite you to read my food diary and give a brief analysis on what you think my problem is. For starters, I know I am a bit anxious and impatient however, I am determined to focus. I originally started dieting seriously in mid August-September. I lost about 8-9 lbs. in a month's time. Some other things threw me off track, so I quit, and gained a few lbs. back and now I am back in the motion. Since the beginning of Jan, I have only technically lost about 3-4LBS. My settings are to lose 2lbs per week. I even attempted the Special K diet (for a day), (no way in hell that would work 4 me. I DO NOT attempt these fad diets etc regularly, because they are not realistic 4 me. I tried to go back and see what I did so much differently back in August and I wasn't even exercising and I lost weight. My food supply is extremely limited at the moment because of economical issues. Each week, I seem to not be making my goal. I'm really trying to understand my body better, so I get the water weight issue now. But something is just not adding up.

3-4 lbs is great! 2 lbs per week is an estimate. Its not an exact science. I'll check out your diary and get back to you though.0

Your portion sizes, especially the meats, may be off by quite a bit. You also need to drink more water. Are you exercising? At the end of the day, you really just need to be more patient. You haven't been at this long.
My weight loss was never uniform.0 -
@ceoverturf thanks..lol @SuggaD, that's really the only difference I have been doing doing elliptical for a 30 min 4-5 days a week. I am going to try and be just a tad bit more patient.

Looking at your diary:
Stay away from 'generic' entries. You don't know how your sloppy joe compares, in terms of calorie content, to the generic one you entered. Same for homemade entries. Unless you entered the recipe, it is likely very different from what you're eating.
Also use a food scale and measure solid food by weight. What you fit into the 1 cup is probably not 1 cup by weight. Same for fruits, etc. Weigh them. For a pear I'd weigh it before and then weigh the core that remains. The difference is what I ate.

I know people will say a calorie is a calorie. But you will get a lot more bang for your buck if you incorporate more nutrient dense whole foods into your diet. A large portion of your diary is packaged/processed foods. Not to say you can't lose weight with these (as long as you're in a deficit) but you might find you can eat more and hit your micronutrients by incorporating lean proteins, fruits and veggies into your diet. As others have said, 4 lbs in a month is nothing to be ashamed of. Patience.0

YES!
If I were you, I would cut out empty calories. These include the sugar that you are having with breakfast (6 teaspoons ), white bread, hamburger buns, crackers and cookies. These things won't fill you up or provide much nutrition, so they aren't the most efficient way to spend your calorie budget.
I would swap out all the processed cereal for whole-grain cereals like old-fashioned oatmeal or multi-grain hot cereal.
I would try to get more lean protein with greater consistency. You could include more roasted chicken (not fried wings), turkey, fish, other seafood, yogurt and legumes (cheap but full of nutrition!) in the diet. I would also aim for at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day to start with. Could you have been eating more fresh produce in the summer? That might make a difference.
It looks like you aren't ever getting protein with your breakfast--if you are having trouble feeling full throughout the day, adding protein early in your day would be a good idea.
I think that you are making very respectable progress. Keep getting a little better with your diet all the time and you should see more success.
