Well measuring cups and spoons are standard, so you can't go wrong (but remember only to use them for liquids anyway). Scales, just get one with a tare button and you're set.0

I actually have compared different brands of measuring spoons and have found them to be different, you would think they would be standard. I also have a scale right now and its glitchy and not very trust worthy0

Loads of scale options on Amazon! like poster said above, look for one with tare button, also one that measures in grams AND ounces. When i was originally looking at scales, some only measured in ounces. grams are far more accurate/precise. I have an oxo scale. I loooove it0

I just bought a food scale yesterday, (starfrit) it has a tare feature and measures in grams and ounces. Plus its bright red and only about half an inch thick so it stores anywhere0

I'd want a scale that can be calibrated. IME, scales that can be calibrated seem to not need it, and scales that can't be calibrated are nearly always out of true.0

Usually if you shop at a restaurant supply store the brands have good accuracy and chefs need quality products to operate their restaurants.0
