Where do you loose it (for men)

When you start to loose it, do you have stage where nothing seems to happen yet your scale is moving in the right direction? what body parts do you notice are getting in better shape and is it true that the gut is the last thing to shrink?
I'm wondering where the chin fat fits in that order. I'd love to have that reduce.
I've generally thought it's your head, your arms, legs, upper body then lastly your adomen.

For me, I've noticed waist circumference the most (looking from the side), but the look in the mirror doesn't change much because i still have some to lose. Arms and chest are definitely more cut0

Not a guy, but I thought I'd weigh in as well.
Where you lose it from is highly individual. It is based on you and your genetics. Where one person loses weight from first, may be the last place you lose it form.
For example, I have a friend who loses fat from her stomach first, while my stomach is one of the last places I lose it from. On the flip side, I lose back fat faster than she does.0 -
I am already fairly lean so my results (visually) have been coming faster than scale. But I lose pretty much in this order:
- legs
- back
- arms
- neck
- stomach
In fact, the last few times I got my bf % check (12 point skin fold) I had 8% bf in my legs but 18% in my stomach. And similar results in my arms and back. So it lowers my overall body fat % but you wouldn't be able to tell with just a front picture.0 -
Eventually it goes from everywhere. The last stubborn bits for me are about a 3 inch circle around the belly button, and the Love Handles covering the kidney area from the back.
Right now for me there's virtually no fat anywhere save those two regions and there can't be but 5 or 6 pounds hanging tight there.
Just like everywhere else they, too, will succumb to the inevitable ... but they're sure taking their damned time about it.
FYI - for the vast majority it's a FILO queue : First In Last Out. The last places to go are usually the first places fat accumulates.
My moobs were the first to go. Good riddance.0 -
I lost a total of 40 Lbs...my first 20ish pounds or so really wasn't even that noticeable unless someone was really paying attention. I noticed it in places like my fingers, ankles, feet, wrists, neck, arms, legs, etc...only because things like rings and watches started slipping around...but not anything anyone else was really going to notice unless they were looking hard
My next 10 Lbs was very noticeable though as I started losing a lot of weight in my face and slowly but surely my gut was shrinking. My last 10 Lbs was night and day as I lost much of my gut (though I still carry a small spare tire...never know when you're gonna get a flat) and continued to see some thinning in my face. I maintain now right around 15% BF.
Unfortunately for most guys, the gut is last and that's usually what we're the most concerned with...it's primary fat stores and even at 15% I have a small pooch.0 -
@cwolfman13 always has to be that way dammit. I guess I'll have to head towards 12% being asian likely doesn't help either but I want to be fit too.0

... the first thing people complain about is the area that will be the last to go. lol
I loss in my arms, legs, face, neck, chest and you guessed it the abdomen area is hanging on. Most surprising place I loss weight were my feet, my shoes are really loose. Didn't expect to have to buy new shoes.0
