Ouch, that is a rough diagnosis. I have no experience with the condition but do have a bit of medical knowledge. Your doctor is probably the best person to consult, maybe even start seeing a dietitian to make sure you don't develop vitamin deficiencies. Without the the initial digestive step of stomach acid your small intestine will have to work harder for its nutrients but will still be plenty functional. It will probably be beneficial to you to increase your calorie intake 10-20% over what your body needs with liquid meals throughout the day to make up for the decreased nutrient uptake.
  • thats what i fear the most , that my body gives up and i end up looking too thin with timing and i have been speaking to each and every doctor possible as well as educating myself to how can we live with out the stomach and yes is gonna take a toll on me , but your right i have to increase the intake by a lot more with a higher dense fat diet, i mean i dont really want to keep losing weight is my concern. thank you very much , this is a very difficult journey.
