Punching bag

Hey guys, I've been hitting the bag a lot for exercise and I seem to get some really rough red marks in between my pinky's. It looks just a blood blister but it's under the skin. My anatomy teacher said that it's microvascular damage and that I need to try different gloves. Does this happen to anyone else?

Don't punch with your pinkies. That is how you break a finger. Punch with the strong fingers. Find gloves that help you do that.0

I have been hitting the bag square. I don't think I hit it on my pinky side of my hand0

I used to get something similar (red/purple bruising by my pinkies) when I hit the heavy bag --- even when I was doing it without gloves (I did a lot of MA stuff like hitting a makiwara to toughen my hands, so my knuckles were calloused). Hitting with no gloves, I was absolutely hitting with just first two knuckles but even so I got bruising there (and not by first two knuckles). It was never that serious for me, so I just ignored it.0
