After researching cost, product availability, and prior personal results, I've decided on: light breakfast, big lunch, light dinner, and a daily multivitamin. For fiber I'm using fiber one products including the cereals and bars. I know the bars get gassy reviews, but I did the high fiber 'Pounds Off Bar' (now discontinued) in my twenties and lost 60 pounds in 6 months combined with low intensity exercise and lots of water.
I purchased the P90X3 workout and just finished day 5. The Cold Start warmup combined with MMX is my favorite combo, Agility X is also a good one, but Ab Ripper hurts. This program is challenging! The warm up is 12 minutes and each specialized workout is 30 minutes so it's time manageable. I can't do all the moves Tony does, but I try to keep moving in some form. I am burning around 400-500 calories with a moderate level of intensity. I've had to put the dvd player on pause to catch my breath a few times...seriously out of shape. I'm looking for a good workout mat that is cushioned for a concrete garage floor. I bought a yoga mat but it's really thin and worthless. I was thinking of getting those interlocking mats used for home gyms, but I think they would slide on my floor and/or come apart because there is lots of jumping and sliding in the workout. Ideas?
The diet is going good. It's 12am PST on Sat morning, I don't feel hungry and I am not tired. I've lost 7 pounds, probably mostly water weight, but it's good to see results. Add me if you want. We can miss beer and pizza together.
