Polar FT4?

I have a question for anyone who uses the Polar FT4... When you're using it when training, can you see the time on the watch? Or is it just the default heart rate screen? I want to use it for interval training so would be useful to see the time so I can time 30 second breaks etc while it still records my heart rate.

The FT7 lets you chose between displayed screens, but the downside is they just record average, max and min heart rates so you can't really see how your intervals went after a session.

I am thinking of upgrading to the M400 as I am told this can go the recording heart rate over time which is what I am really after.

I have a FT4. You can look at the time while working out. I took a picture of my watch today while doing my workout. I usually keep it on either calories burned or heart rate but you can choose to see the duration and time of day instead.

If you hold the watch near your chest strap it will display the time as well.

I had no idea about this! I'll try it out tomorrow.

Has anyone gone swimming with theirs? I know the manual says you can but i'm so scared to use it in the pool

I have one and to change the so you van see the time you just push the buttons on the right side beside the arrows ( see pic above).

I have worn mine in the pool but the water interferes with signal and I don't find it is accurate. Sometimes it will loose the signal and will say "check transmitter". I have the pink one and have had it for a year but started wearing it in the pool a lot in December when the new rec centre opened and noticed it started to discolor a bit. Not sure if it was from the water or not but I just stopped wearing in the pool altogether
