I don't have any cheat days. When I've tried losing in the past, I did... but then it's like it would snap me out of the mindset I need to be in for success, and I'd just fall back into not being diligent about calorie restriction. I do allow myself little desserts every single day (Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich, or a Snicker's fun size, etc.) as long as it fits within my calories.

Saturdays are usually my "cheat" days. Due to our schedules, my fiance and I don't really get to spend much time with each other during the week so Saturday is our date night. We'll go to a restaurant or get a pizza, and I don't log anything. I don't go crazy and eat everything in sight, it's usually just a nice meal and maybe a dessert. I enjoy every bite and I have no problem going back to the regular schedule on Sunday. I'm still losing 1-2 lbs a week so it works for me. I know it definitely doesn't work for everyone though.

I think this Lifehacker post really sums up how to "cheat" without completely failing: http://vitals.lifehacker.com/the-benefits-of-intentionally-failing-on-your-diet-1682610160

I occasionally have days where I don't fret and do around maintenance instead of at a deficit. I don't really consider that "cheating" though. Honestly, I find that cheat days/maintenance days/no logging days (whatever you do) are really more of a personal thing. For some, it works really well and doesn't set them back. For others, a day like that could be detrimental. What works for some may not work for others. It's best to get to know yourself and your body and go off that.

I don't really have a day more of just a meal but it turns out not to be really bad. I will not log for a day or so but not because I am cheating on that day but just because I want a break for tracking.
