Trying to eat three meals a day

I've been trying to eat three meals a day but I find it really hard to eat in the afternoon because i'm not really that hungry. I always eat breakfast which is usually around 8. I won't start to feel really hungry til around 4pm and I typically get home around 5 or 6. Usually by then I'll make dinner and eat all my calories at dinner/night snack but i'm starting to feel pretty bloated from eating because it feels like I am just overeating at dinnertime. I really want to try eating three meals a day rather then just the two so I don't overeat or stuff myself at dinner time just to make up all the calories I missed. Is there any way I can help myself feel a little bit hungry during lunch time or would it be okay if I had snack during that time instead?

Maybe share your diary so we can get a better idea of what's going on.0

As long as you are getting adequate nutrition, it's fine to eat twice or even once a day. Most just find it hard to cram that much food in one sitting.0

Try some vigorous exercise for half your lunchtime.0
