Hi there!

I'm going to the gym tonight to do around 1 hour of cardio and possibly some strength training - this will probably entail mostly of treadmill and exercise bike woke - please could anyone tell me what you can log this on under exercise on the fitness pall app as I cant seem to find it?!

Many thanks!

Treadmill, exercise bike, elliptical, rowing machine etc are all in the exercise database, as is strength training.

I stopped logging exercise. I don't quite trust the 'calories burned' calculations and it was giving me a pass with eating badly. Instead, in my settings, I upped my activity level and went to a few other sources to find out calorie intake and macros. Right now it is set at 2000 calories/day, high protein, low fat & low carb. I don't always hit that.

Knowing that the minimum should be 1200, on days off I stay around there and on workout days, particularly hard ones, I have room to reach

This method really helps for me b/c I have to stay aware, after a while, it is like second nature.

If you are new to using the MFP Exercise Database, I highly recommend using the Web version, not the mobile apps, to spend a few minutes looking at the list of pre-loaded exercises.

On the Web version, navigate to EXERCISE > Database and click the drop-down arrow to the right of "...or choose an exercise below:" to view a complete list of exercises available. You can highlight an exercise, then enter the desired number of minutes to get an estimate of the exercise Calories burned at your current weight that MFP will add to your Diary.
