How to use with the 5:2 diet?

Hello,

I use the 5:2 diet and would like to set my calorie goals on MyFitnessPall to 500 on Mondays and Thursdays and then to 1,600 the other days. Is this possible? I see it just defaults to 1,200 as a daily goal.

Thank you! :)

It wont let you as far as I am aware, I just started 5:2 last week. Also on your 'fasting' days, you cant post your diary.......you just get a big warning about not eating enough!!!

No - MFP doesn't cater for people that have irregular daily calorie goals.
Best to adjust your settings to "maintain current weight" to get your 5 day target about right and as joolwool33 says it won't let you post your fast days.

You can get round it by doing a quick add 1000 calories, complete diary, delete the 1000 calories if you want to post your diary completion.

Thanks for your quick replies guys!

I used MyFitnessPal in summer last year and I was being allowed to update my Diary with just 500 calories (even though the daily goal said 1,200). I guess they've changed it!
