Need a Fitness Plan

Need some help from experienced fitness pals......I have been working out solid for a month now. My main goal is weight loss and of course just getting in shape in general. I am new to this whole Gym thing. Need some pointers and ideas on how I need to be working out. Right now I do 40 min cardio followed by 15 min strength. I know the repeativness isn't ideal so needing to know the best way to make a fitness plan for the best outcome....

    For lifting: Stronglifts 5x5. You can do cardio on your lifting days or on your days off of lifting but 3 sessions of 30-45 minutes a week is usually sufficient.
