I finally made a goal I'm happy with

So, I started logging, eating better about a month or so ago. I've lost 8 pounds that I'm sure of. I became a daily weigher and it just got me down so I'm not stepping on a scale for a long time. Anyway, I started, without any real "end game" in sight. I just wanted to lose weight and feel better. Here's my stats:
Age 39
SW: 208
CW: 200 ( i think)
GW: I am not going with a number but rather when I felt the best which was around 140-150.
I will be 40 this year. My husband wants to throw me a big 40th bday bash in December. I never take my bday seriously, never really do anything but I love making a big deal out of everyone else's bday. He said it was time someone made a big deal out of mine and 40 sounded like a good place to start...lol. As I was at work last nightj, searching themes and ideas (I decided on a Roaring 20's theme with a murder mystery group coming in) it hit me. I will have a ton of friends/family coming in for it that haven't seen me in quite some time. Last time they did, I was fat (for the past 7 years). I searched for dresses for my party and found that none that I fell in love with would look awesome in plus size. So that has become my goal. Get the dress I want and kick 40's *kitten*! And look good doing it! I'm hoping 50 or so pounds in 11 months isn't hard to achieve.

A Roaring 20s theme sounds amazing. I'm a little jealous. I'm turing 30 in October and I'm the same way with birthdays, mine is just never a big deal. And an 8lb weight loss is awesome. Good job!!0
