sodium

I have just noticed that I have been regularly going over my recommended sodium levels and I wondered how important this was and if it would affect my weight loss?
The products that I eat that have lots of salt are generally my protien sources such as quorn and cottage cheese. I am vegetarian and so worried about cutting theses out to lower my salt as it would take away most of my protien.
Does anyone have any good high protein sources for veggies that are low in salt but easy to cook? (I am rather useless at cooking and mostly rely on putting things in the oven/all in a pan).
Many thanks
P.s. my diary is open if you want to look.

Only a small segment of the US population is sensitive to heart issues that are related to salt.
Do not worry about the sodium. It does not affect your weight loss either way.
If you have a crockpot, it is easy to cook in the crock pot.
I put lentils and water in the crock pot and five hours later have soup. If you want, you can add sautéed onions and garlic and near the end add some kale or other greens.
Some people like roasted veggies -- those are pretty easy too.
There are lots of easy vegan/vegetarian recipes on Pinterest.
