Too little sodium?

OK, really happy with my diet and doing well (24lbs loss).

With 1 month gone I thought it was a good time to review my diet. On the whole really happy and haven't gone over my daily recommended calories once.

However, it would appear that I am constantly falling way short of my recommended sodium (2300mg) and typically only consume around 1200mg. (my diary is open if anyone wishes to have a look )

Does this have any good/bad effects I should be concerned about?

I have done a search but it seems like I'm a bit of an oddity in that I get too little sodium!!

Would welcome any thoughts on this.

Thanks

Nope low sodium here too, but for medical/health reasons. I cook and prepare everything without salt.
Side effect is that my blood pressure is normal again ;)

But i would check with your doctor for information on this. You need your potassium. And it is better to consult your doctor who has your stats to confirm and specialized information.

Other advantage is i noticed, less fluctuations in your weight loss journey.
I cant prove it btw. But i see some people posting about fluctuations and i hardly have them.
Only when i go out for dinner to a buffet or something. ( more salty food) But i lose it the next day again. :)

Unless you are feeling any ill effects then it should be fine.

Sometimes if you exercise hard and are lacking in certain salts you will cramp etc.

If you need want to add a little more in - go with a natural sea salt or pink salt - full of minerals and tastes lovely.

2300mg is the automatic setting for everyone regardless of stats. I set my goal to 1500 and I feel better eating below this. I periodically go over this, not a huge deal.

It really depends on how you feel. If I don't have enough sodium my blood pressure gets too low (90/40 eep!) so I have to consciously include plenty in my diet to ensure I stay upright. But everyone is different.
