SYNCHING WALK FROM PAYPAL TO FITBIT CHARGE HR

This is driving me mad! My new (today) Fitbit Charge HR has synched my walk y'day, but not today's walk. Today I walked nearly 5 miles (11,000 steps) and the Fitbit app is showing only 24 steps. I have looked at all my settings on My Fitness Pal and Fitbit, as well as synching 'Map my fitness' app, where I recorded my walk. It still won't show up on my Fitbit dashboard.
Also,do I have to ask that all motion is recorded through my Charge HR as standard , or can I keep my settings to say that I still want the iphone 5s sensor activated? Does this mean that my walks will never sync?! Thanks
