A runner who needs to lose a few pounds!

Hi all,
I've been a member for a while but only now getting back into using the apps etc, so I thought I'd pop in and say "Hi".
I'm a keen runner, but have a sedentary job. I've lost some weight over the last year and running more consistently and drastically reducing the beer intake is what has helped me. I love my running and I know I'll never be "Mr Speedy" but I want to do what I can to try and get the best out of myself and I think losing a bit more weight will help with that.
My issue is that I have plateaued a bit with my current food/fitness regime so I need to refocus. I think I need to start trying to cut out food that I don't need, whilst still making sure I have enough energy to do my running. I found it relatively easy to get from 14st to 13st, but I think getting from 13st to 12st7 will be more tricky!
A running club-mate has been going on about MFP for a few months, so I thought I'd give it another go after first trying it a couple of years ago.
Cheers,
BigG

Best of luck. MFP has been a godsend for me in trying to get the extra weight off and stay on track with my training goals. Since joining I've dropped more weight that I really thought would be attainable in the short time I've been sticking to my plans. This May I was able to turn a personal best in a 5 mile race, and I look forward to doing even better my next time out. I know I'll never be a speed demon out there, but as the weight has come off, my times have come down considerably.0
