MFP newbie. Veteran to sweat. Determined to eat healthier.

I remember reading about a cyclist who spoke of looking at food as fuel for his body. When I consider that mindset, it makes perfect sense. The problem is that thought doesn't stick around for long.

I love to sweat. Running is a release. Riding is playtime. I wish I had more hours in my day to move and sweat. I'm motivated by others who get out there and chase their goals and athletic passions.

After trying MFP for this first week, I'm amazed (and mortified) by how much mindless junk I take in... Or how much fat and sugar I consume. Seeing it here is helping me to think twice about mindlessly crunching down on M&Ms, or skipping those cookies after seeing how much sugar was in something else I ate.

I'm hoping this community will provide me motivation and ideas on how to stick with my goals, as well as help others to reach their similar achievements together!

Giddy up :))
