Even though they sometimes mean well, those that have never looked at Nutritional Facts labels often give advice to you, even when you don't ask for it. I'd like for you to share some pearls of wisdom you've received with me, if you could. I'll start.

Co-worker: what's wrong?
Me: I'm still hungry, but I just went over my calorie limit and need to stay under today. I overate the past two days.
Co-worker: Eat some vegetables!
Me: But... I'm over my calorie limit. That'd put me more over.
Co-worker: Vegetables have calories?

That's a great pearl of wisdom. The answer should have been "Go work out, earn more calories, and then eat veggies". But I've learned that most people are clueless when it come to weight loss these days. They feel that I have some magic that they don't.

Or they have really great advice for you even though they've never touched a dumbbell in their life.

Had a lady at work tell me I shouldn't get more than 40g of protein a day because after that it starts to eat muscle. Said she read it in a magazine but couldn't remember which one.
