hi!
I am a 40 y.o. Mom to 3 kiddo's. Im currently 120lbs, 4'11, with quite a bit of body fat. My goal weight is 110 lbs. I have a very small frame and have been 100 lbs before children. I would be happy at 110.
MFP puts me at that magic 1200 cal a day goal for nutrition. I exercise 4 days a week, burning 800+ calories during those workouts. The other 3 days I am in recovery mode and I eat the 1200 or just under. In the past month I have lost only 2lbs. but I have lost 4.5 inches off my belly! On workout days I try to eat the calories I burned back, but sometimes only half.
I feel frustrated that the scale is not reflecting my hard work. Am I doing something wrong here? Would appreciate any advice!

You don't have much weight to lose so a rate of 2lb per month (around 0.5lb per week) is good. You're also losing a lot of inches. Sounds like you're on the right track, keep it up.0

Dont eat back the calories you burn. Also if you only have lost 2lbs in 1 month it sounds like you may not actually be in a calorie deficit. Are you logging everything you eat? Are you logging it accurately? Do you weigh everything out to know exactly how many calories everything you eat has for an accurate total? Do you munch on things you dont log? Do you drink coffee with creamer and sugar you dont log? Do you drink alcohol you dont log? Little things you dont log or number of calories per food that you are off can add up. Also how do you log the exercise you do? You may be overestimating the calories burned. Just some ideas...0

How are you calculating your calorie burn? 800 calories is really high for your stats, unless you're running marathons.0

I am a cyclist, so I am using heart rate monitor to calculate my burned calories. I have also input my stats into my hr monitor (weight, height). I am riding several hours or doing intervals on the bike and crossfit all under the guidance of my coach. I do log everything I eat. But I dont weigh anything...yet. I ordered a scale. I was drinking a lot prior to Jan, cut out alcohol and I do log everything I eat. Only losing 2 lbs has been rough. But I am not giving up : )
