WTF am I doing with my life? I have 2 toddler boys. My wife wants another kid. I've only been married for 4 1/2 years. And I'm gonna die! You ever seen a fat old guy? Nope. Why? Because they die prematurely. Heart disease, diabetes, early onset arthritis. That's all in my future. Unless I change. I want to see my kids age. I want to play with my grandkids. I want to meet my great-grandkids. I want to spend more time with my wife. I need to figure this stuff out. Like, now.

Looks like you've been at this a while, then regained some, and are starting again? That's the story for so many of us... you are not alone!

Fortunately, you're young. You have time to fix this, but yes... doing it sooner rather than later is the best.

It can be done, though! I've lost over 90 in the past year and feel SO MUCH BETTER! I also get really good numbers from lab work now. Blood pressure is better, too.

It's worth it to take care of yourself. Find people who seem dedicated here, and get some friends! Add me if you'd like.

    Hoping for a successful journey!

Not to mention providing a role role model for those kids and grandkids and teaching them positive things about eating and exercise...

Embrace the fear, it can be life changing.

When I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes I was over 300lbs. That was the turning point. In about a year I dropped over 100lbs and no longer need meds for diabetes or high blood pressure. I was diagnosed with arthritis nearly 20 years ago, losing weight and regular exercise has helped manage my arthritis.

Being there for my family is a huge driver for positive change. The last thing I want to do is to be a burden on them. That means I need to take care of myself. I like to think that I have become somewhat of a role model for my grand kids. On Saturday morning when I'm exercising they will join in, mirroring whatever I'm doing. Of course my routine takes twice as long when they join in, but we all have a little fun.

It's a lot more fun to actually run around with the kids than it is to just sit on the couch and watch. Don't be that guy on the couch.
