Dairy-Free (but Filling) Snack/Meal Ideas?

I've had to cut out dairy (for two weeks, for the time being) to see if I may be allergic to it. Does anyone have any ideas on filling snacks/meals that don't involve dairy? (And also relatively low in calories?)
I've looked at alternatives like coconut/soy/almond milk but many of them seem to be full of sugars, which I really ought not to be having!
Thanks in advance!

Nuts are calorie dense but a single serving is a great snack with healthy fats that can kill the hunger for a while. Fresh veggies and hummus is another great dairy free snack, I love red bell pepper with roasted garlic hummus. If you eat soy edamame are great to snack on.

Beef Jerky, nuts, peanut butter, chic peas

For the record, unless you have a medical condition a little extra sugar isn't going to hurt :)

    Thanks!

& I've been blessed with insulin resistance. Although I haven't cut sugar out completely, I do try to watch and limit it!

Oh She Glows is my go-to dairy-free (vegan) recipe site. Most of the recipes pay attention to limiting added sugar.

For easy stuff, I'd say offhand--roasted eggplant slices with stewed tomatoes on top, hardboiled eggs, oatmeal or cream of wheat with add-ins of your imagination, stir-fry, veggie&egg bakes, any kind of crunchy snacky goodness, homemade pancakes, veggies & hummus.

    -Natural peanut butter on celery
-Natural peanut butter on an apple
-dried fruit snacks (no sugar added ones)
-veggie chips (I like the Veggie Stix. they're reconstituted but so good. The sea salt ones have no dairy)
-baby carrots dipped in Italian dressing (check to make sure there's no parm)
-Silk brand yoghurt/pudding cups have no dairy.
-Make your own popsicles with frozen fruit blended with unflavored soy milk + vanilla extract
    -Pretzels
    -Pistachios
    -Hand fruit
    -edamame steam packs

I would 2nd veggies and hummus. I just recently started eating it and would say that it is very hit&miss, so you may want to pick up a sampler pack, or very small containers of different flavors to find what you like and don't like.

Nuts and nut butters, hummus or other bean dips, tortilla chips and salsa or guacalmole, boiled or deviled eggs for snacks.

For meals, pretty much anything that doesn't contain dairy
    -steak and salad
-grilled fish, brown rice and roasted carrots
    -Cajun red beans and rice
-Pork chops, fried apples and collard greens
-Split pea soup and roasted chicken salad
-pan seered salmon and quinoa salad
-roast turkey breast and tomato, broccoli and garlic sauteed in olive oil and tossed with spaghetti squash

Those are a few dinners we've had lately that contained no dairy.
