Injured and trying to loose weight!!

Hey, I've injured my knee 12 weeks ago and am off work waiting for surgery. I'm trying to loose weight because in the first few weeks I could move much at all and put on a bunch of weight. I'm normally very active and love to play rugby. I'm getting really bored with the gym and watching what I eat so I hope this will help.

I know exactly how you feel. I have cerebral palsy and haven't been able to play sports in years. My husband and I are on our bikes everyday and I would like to get back into skiing but I enjoy more team sports which is sadly lacking. My physiotherapist suggested yoga and I thanked him sincerely but it really it is so boring.
I don't know where you are and pools tend to be fairly expensive if you're not in Florida but water sports might be a good choice for you. Lots of weight being removed off your leg but you still get lots of movement and fun with friends. There are several water sports to try or maybe just water aerobics.
Hope it works.

Those are some good ideas Rita, just the thought of taking my clothes off and jumping in a pool when there's 3 feet of snow outside makes me shudder though0
