How bad is the sugar from fruits for you? My consumption is high and I'm worried it'll affect my weight loss goals. Thanks.

Only if it's causing you to not be in a caloric deficit. The sugars would only be a concern if you have a medical condition that necessitates it, or have been specifically told by your medical professional to watch your sugar intake.0

Mikey, what percentage of your day's calories are taken up in fruit consumption? If it is not an outrageous percentage I think you are fine. The sugar in fruit is natural. In my case, I find that sweeter fruits spike my blood sugar and make me crave more - thinks like grapes and oranges. But apples and berries don't seem to affect me that much.0

I set my goal at no more than 40g of sugar a day with approximately 150g of total carbs. The last two days my sugar consumption is around 75g a day and mostly from bananas, strawberries and watermelon. Do you think I should cut back. I'm still always in caloric deficit.0 -

it really depends what your weight loss goals are. If you have your diary set up to meet your goals, and you are not going over your settings then I can't see how it would be a problem.
A concern would be how it's affecting your overall carbs. Do you go over on carbs? Are you getting enough fiber? Are you also eating a good variety of vegetables?0
