After school snacking

hello!
At school I eat my lunch at around 12:45 (this usually consists of an apple, a banana and an Eat Natural bar). At around 3:00 I start to get really hungry, and as soon as I get home from school I raid the cupboard because I'm so hungry. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can stop this habit? I'm trying to lose weight and this is not helping!

How old are you? If you're a teenager still in high school I'd suggest registering on SparkTeens. MFP is a site designed for adults, and the program here isn't designed to work for you.0

Eat more/different macros for lunch. Protein and fats are for satiety (meaning they keep you fuller for longer), so add some of those to your lunch. Meat, eggs, yogurt, nuts, etc will all keep you feeling full for much longer.0

I don't think she's old enough to use this site...
She could be 18 and be a Senior in high school. What do I know? There's nothing wrong with protein for teens too.0 -

Yeah but unlikely. Usually these profiles turn out to be created by 12-year-old girls trying to starve themselves to get skinny.0 -
That's a whole lot of carbs and not a lot of fat or protein.
Pack a lunch that is full of protein and fat like deli meat rollups, nuts/seeds, a rice cake with nut butters, avocado and black bean salad, grilled chicken, etc.0 -

I) that is not a lunch, it's a snack...eat a proper nutritious lunch
2) when you come home eat a decent after school snack ...I have cottage cheese on toast with avocado and tomato a lot, or egg white, mushroom, cheese on toast ...basically around 200 calories or sometimes Greek yogurt, berries and cereal0
