Walking and diet help

Hello,
A little about me before I get into it, I have never have worked out before in my entire life. I graduated college recently and it's time I loose the rest of the of 80 pounds I need to loose.
Week one, I signed up for planet fitness right down the street from me. I asked many people their opinions and as people are they give me a million different things.
What I am doing currently is a 2000 calorie diet. Which is fine with me, on here I wanted to loose 1.5 pounds a week. I was impressed by what I could and could not eat and have changed my diet completely.
In fact in 10 days I've lost 5 pounds and I haven't starved once!

The next question is if I am working out correctly. I 'feel the burn' which I heard is fine.
The first week and this week I have been walking consistently on the treadmill for 45 minutes at a pace of 3.0. Then, for 15 minutes I walk at a slightly slower pace of about 2.6 until I reached the one hour mark.
I stand on my feet all day about 4-5 days a week for 8 hours, so my legs get tired easily by the time I go to the gym.

Is this like a good start? Like my diet consists mostly of fruit and green tea (no sugar)
I also am taking vitamin supplements in case I am missing out on any nutrition.
Am I working out correctly for my first two weeks? Or is it not enough?

    About your exercise--since you said that you had never worked out before, I would recommend that you start with small goals. If you try to do too much at once, you'll be sore and frustrated. Also, remember some water so you don't get dehydrated (especially when it starts warming up).

    You're right, my personality makes me want to over achieve :/

    you could play with intervals in your walking-so warm up by walking for 15 minutes-then walk very fast for one minute-walk at regular pace for 4 minutes then another really fast minute-repeat for a total of 30 minutes then do a 15 minute walk at slower pace. You still get your hour in on treadmill but you have raised the intesnity a bit.

    I belong to a gym as well and my coach says 20 mins. Max on the treadmill just to get your cardiovascular going. Then work on some machines. This will help u tone as u loose so u will build muscle loose weight and look great. Ask someone that works there to show you just a few machines. I got bored after a few weeks of only using the treadmill and had to change it up so I wouldn't quit. When your done working on a few machines finish off with 15 min. On treadmill. You do that all for an hour and you will see results without getting bored. Also, if your gym offers classes do one! Cardiovascular classes are amazing and fun!
