is it really possible to get stretch marks from rapid weight loss? Is doesn't make sense to me.
I had a baby in November, and shifting the extra pounds now. I didn't get any stretch marks in pregnancy... Just a bit concerned that they might appear now.

No. You get stretch marks from weight gain, not weight loss.0

No
But rapid weight loss can result in saggy skin as you have to wait until the skin catches up...it can take 2 years and genetic lottery for it to tighten as much as it will
Best form of weight loss is slow, steady with resistance work to preserve as much muscle as possible0 -
Stretch marks are just that, marks that are left when skin is stretched. That could happen with weight gain, muscle gain, growing up too fast as a teen, pregnancy.. etc. If you are noticing your stretch marks more after weight loss, that's because they used to be stretched out over a layer of fat and less noticeable. When that layer of fat shrinks, the stretch marks are no longer tight and may in some cases form hills and valleys.0

The (non pregnancy) stretch marks I got on my belly the last couple years have faded away. I got out of the shower today and noticed they weren't there. Not sure if they'll make an appearance after my skin gets back in the sunshine this summer but for now I'm excited!0

No, you got them when you gained weight, and then notice them when you lose.0

Thank you all for answering. I thought that must be the case, but so many people claim to get them from weight loss I started to doubt myself. I'm not intentionally dropping weight fast... I just seem to be losing water weight very quickly at the moment. I'm sure it'll even out soon.0
